Photography has always been my passion

To me it is the way to give form to the intangible.
I photograph from instinct and emotion, guided by intuition and an open heart. I love working with light, capturing what is already there, and holding onto that one moment that says everything without needing words. What inspires me most is true connection: eyes that speak, a look that stays with you, an encounter you can feel.

Even as a child, I learned to look beyond the surface - to sense what isn’t being said. That intuition is still at the core of everything I create. I’m drawn to stories that live underneath the obvious: quiet beauty, hidden strength, and subtle emotions that can reveal an entire world.

I grew up in the Dutch cities that shaped the great 17th-century painters. The atmosphere of Dutch light - its softness, depth, and cinematic feel - continues to influence my work. I also love dance and body language, which naturally translates into my desire for strong composition and expressive movement within an image.

With my photography, I want to create meaning and spark something in people. I believe in the power of images and in the importance of hopeful stories. That’s why I enjoy collaborating with charities such as War Child and Pink Ribbon, and why I create projects around themes that keep calling me back: feminine strength, beauty beyond labels, identity, and connection.

Everything I make comes from one ongoing search: to capture what often goes unseen. Because I believe that when you truly look — with your heart — you will always find something beautiful.
